This book was 10 years in the making, saw the birth of a new publishing house, and is one of the rare books that credit the graphic designer has an equal partner in the creation of the project (another one is The Medium Is The Message by Marshall McLuhan et Quentin Fiore). Many large architectural books came out after this one, but none rival it in terms of scope, complexity and richness, and faith in the book as a medium.
